Educonnex, a part of Country Net Solutions, is a student-centric, school-wide platform crafted to integrate, enable, automate, and streamline the school environment for the entire school community based in Australia. The company addresses each of the areas of functional processes required by schools as a part of day-to-day operations.
Challenge
Educonnex had a need for an annual school subject selection tool for a more streamlined and efficient process. There was no single tool adopted by schools for the selection process in Australia. The existing tools were already outdated and required a fair amount of manual work for data inputs. The required system needed to be convenient for all the schools, with addition of new features that would improve the subject selection process and expand the scope of usage of the tool. As a result the task was to develop a brand-new product. The main goal for the solution was to facilitate the subject selection process of schools by implementing teacher role distribution, prerequisites and capacity of courses, seamless data imports, appointment management system, and other various features. Another big challenge was that the new solution could be easily adapted by enterprises that manage a network of schools.
Solution
The Esterox team started from scratch to build a multi-tenant solution with the aim of creating a state-of-the-art product that would enable an independent management of schools. The resulting solution was a game-changer. With the ability to add new schools inside SSO and pass access to school administration, the solution was incredibly user-friendly. School administrators could easily add students, teachers, teacher roles, class permissions, selection access control, and class data, create internal reports from provided analytics, class waitlists, class prerequisites and corequisites, capacity for classes, and other conditions. This made managing the subject selection process a breeze, and the solution was widely adopted by more than 300 schools. To make communication easier between teachers, parents, and students, an appointment system was also . Teachers could now create schedules for their office hours, and parents and students could easily book meetings at their convenience. To ensure that schools could take full advantage of this cutting-edge solution, payment gateways were integrated. Schools could now easily pay for SSO services and enjoy all the benefits that the solution had to offer.
